A new trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us has been released, showcasing Harley Quinn's character, as well as her new outfit.

If you're interested in the story aspect of the upcoming game, the trailer also seems to indicate that Harley has mended her ways in the wake of the Joker's death at the hands of Superman. If the idea of Harley as a superheroine isn't weird enough for you, the trailer also reveals that a new Joker has emerged, possibly from an alternate dimension. Also, said Joker fights with Scarecrow for some reason.

You can watch the new trailer below.

Injustice: Gods Among Us was developed by NetherRealm Studios, and will be released on April 16 in North America for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. An Australian release has also been planned for April 17, with Europe to follow on the 19, and Japan on June 9.

The title is a fighting game set in an alternate DC Comics universe. In this timeline, the Joker has caused the destruction of Metropolis, as well as the deaths Superman's wife Lois Lane, their unborn child, and his best friend Jimmy Olsen. The Man of Steel snaps, killing the Joker and establishing a new, totalitarian government with himself at its head. The game's story follows a war between super-powered individuals aligned with Superman's regime, and those on the side of a rebellion led by Batman.

A comic book tie-in series has been ongoing, leading up to the release of the game.
