Capcom has officially revealed details on the upcoming Wii U version of Resident Evil: Revelations.

Among the game's new features will be the use of the console's GamePad. The Wii U GamePad can be used as a mini-map, as well as a quick way to scroll through the weapon inventory in the game. Off-screen play will also be supported.

Additionally, the Wii U version of Resident Evil: Revelations will be integrated into the Miiverse, allowing players to post messages or leave tips for their friends.

Capcom also announced that all versions of the upcoming game, including the Wii U port, will include Rachel as a playable character in the title's "Raid Mode." Rachel, as well as the previously announced Hunk, will both be playable this weekend at PAX East. The publisher also announced that a new enemy, the Wall Blister, will be featured.

Resident Evil: Revelations will be released on May 21 for the Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. In addition to updated graphics and new features, the console and PC versions of the game will support achievements on the PlayStation Network, Steam and Xbox Live.

Revelations was originally released for Nintendo's 3DS in January of last year. The game is set between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, and follows future BSAA co-founders Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. The game was positively received, and currently holds a 83.57% rating on GameRankings.
