While rapper Lil Wayne is still recovering in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering from a seizure on Friday, he's getting a lot of love and attention from his friends in the entertainment business.
His exact medical condition continues to remain unclear, however TMZ reports that he is still in the Intensive Care Unit of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
On Saturday, rapper NIcki Minaj showed her support for her ailing mentor Lil Wayne by bringing him a bouquet of ballons. Music producer Birdman, hip hop artist Drake and NBA star Chris Paul also paid the Young Money record label owner a hospital visit.
The 30-year-old hip hop star reportedly suffered from multiple seizures last Tuesday as well after shooting a music video with Young Money artist Nicki Minaj. He was readmitted hours after he was released on Wednesday after his bodyguard found him lying in his room unconscious.
RnB singer Usher also took a moment to acknowledge Lil Wayne's condition during a surprise appearance an indie rock group called Afghan Whigs' concert of at SXSW. He said to the audience:
"I don't mean to bring everybody down, but right now I think I want to just ask something of you guys. One of my fellow artists, good friend, Lil' Wayne, is going through a real hard time right now, y'all. And I just want to send a lot of positive attitude about his state. And a lot of positive energy out there right now. Can you guys make some noise for Lil' Wayne one time? You know it's ultimately about positive energy. You believe in that? So one time make some noise."
