On March 11 the seventh season of Nuestra Belleza Latina aired on Univison.

The season began with the audition rounds taped prior to the show and were hosted by Giselle Blondet. The auditions shown on today's episode were from the US and Puerto Rico and 30 girls made it to the second round, including Fernanda Loconsolo. During her audition she prepared news reports and then moved the judges when she revealed that she was a mother and it was hard for her to leave her daughter to make her dreams come true.

Another one of the selected women was Puerto Rican Yarishna Ayala who presented an exercise routine. She was then asked to get a new look. Cuban Leticia Laurenti also passed to the next round and presented a bombastic exercise routine.

Other contestants included Dominican Johanna Burgos who danced and said that she had promised her younger brother she would participate. The judges also accepted Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Mundo Colombia, and Miss Puerto Rico USA.

One the memorable auditions that did not qualify was Carmen Silva who presented a ventriloquist act. Judges Osmel Sousa said she was a disaster while Lupita Jones said she was too fat for the competition. Despite his colleague's critiques, Julian Gil, the third judge of the competition, enjoyed her performance. Another memorable audition was by Mexican Tamara Mena who moved the judges after telling her story. She said that she became paralyzed but thought there was no impediment for her to follow her dream. However Jones said that the show was inadequate for her and none of the judges gave her the pass.

Next week the "Nuestra Belleza Latina" judges will have to chose their groups and the international round will begin.
