The only battles that Kobe Bryant needs to worry about these days are on the court as his L.A. Lakers fight to make the playoffs-not in a legal battle with his wife Vanessa.

Since calling off their scheduled divorce proceedings in January, the two have been inseparable in the public eye. On Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, the couple, who have been married since 1999, have done everything from posting status updates of sharing coffee to celebrating their children's birthdays and defending their marriage to snarky Twitter followers and fans who quoted rapper Drake's infamous lyrics about Vanessa not being with Kobe when he was "shooting at the gym."

In February, Vanessa posted numerous photos on Instagram showing her and her husband hanging out during the 2013 NBA All-Star Game in Houston, Texas. One picture, showing Vanessa and Kobe canoodling during the festivities had the words "LOVE" with a heart where the 'O' should be.

All in all, it's a drastic about-face from the start of their divorce proceedings in 2012, when Vanessa and Bryant were dividing property, of which she was due to receive upwards of $75 million from Bryant, who has a net worth of roughly $200 million.

One of the properties that Vanessa obtained in the divorce proceedings, a 6,000-square foot home, was sold for $3.22 million days before the divorce was cancelled. There were also reports around the time of the Summer Olympics last year that Vanessa was reportedly furious that Bryant had been photographed with other women during parties in Barcelona, Spain, where Bryant was participating in warm-up games for the U.S. Olympic Team.

Still, all things considered, even the nastier parts of their divorce were rather tame compared to some of their other predecessors. Latinos Post takes a look at some of the most public-and nastiest-divorces in recent memory:

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen

Married in 2002, the couple's marriage lasted for a period of three years before Richards filed for divorce in 2005, claiming that Sheen was unfaithful along with allegations of abuse and that Sheen had been addicted to pornography and prostitutes. Richards also sought a restraining order against Sheen in 2006, claiming that Sheen had, during a visit to the couple's two children at her L.A. home, shoved her to the ground in front of their kids and screamed "UI hope you f---king die, bitch." Sheen was also furious with Richards for including the children in a 2008 reality show, calling her decision "greedy, vain and exploitative."

Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger

The Hollywood A-list actors married in 1993, producing a daughter, Ireland. But their seven-year union ended when Basinger filed for divorce in January 2001, with people close to the couple saying that Baldwin's anger issues played a large part in Basinger's decision to split. In an interview last year with Vanity Fair, Baldwin admitted that during the bitter custody battle with Basinger for their daughter, he admitted that he wanted to murder her lawyer with a baseball bat.

Paul McCartney and Heather Mills

Mills, a former model, was McCartney's second wife, the two wedding in 2002 after his beloved wife of 30 years, Linda, died of breast cancer in 1998. However, after four years, the two separated and divorced in 2008, Mills accusing McCartney of being abusive and violent while he accused Mills of tapping his phone. Mills had even dumped water all over the head of one of McCartney's divorce lawyers. Mills ended up getting $48 million from McCartney, who has a reported $800 million net worth.

Liza Minnelli and David Gest

One of Broadway's greatest legends and Gest, an L.A.-born concert promoter, married in March 2002 but separated quickly in July 2002 after only a year and a half of marriage. In some bizarre twists, Gest sued Minnelli for $10 million in October 2003, claiming that she had beaten him during an alcohol-fueled fight while they were married. Minnelli ended up counter-suing him claiming that Gest stole $2 million from her while he produced some of her shows. Minnelli even went so far as to accuse Gest of poisoning her.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

The wedding between the reality TV star/ socialite and the NBA's Brooklyn Nets forward had a lot of hoopla in the summer of 2011, but Kardashian filed for divorce after just 72 days, citing "irreconcilable differences." Since that time, the divorce proceedings between the two have dragged on, with Humphries wanting the marriage annulled--not divorced--claiming that the marriage was a fraud and a publicity stunt to promote her family's brand. In turn, Kardashian sued her former publicist, now Humphries' lawyer in the proceedings, for making those allegations. TO make matters more complicated, Kardashian--still married--is expecting a baby with her new boyfriend, Kanye West.
