William Levy showed off his new hairdo a day before his new Telenovela "La Tempestad" is set to start filming.

The actor who was interviewed by "Formula Espectacular's" Flor Rio stated that he let his hair grow out in honor of his father. He stated that his character, Damian Fabre, is a tough fisherman with a big heart. He added that Fabre does everything for the fisherman community and remarked that his fans will most likely love the character.

The actor also added that the he returned to making telenovelas because the script to "La Tempestad" was excellent. Additionally he stated that he had already formed a close bond with his co-stars Ximena Navarrete and Ivan Sanchez. Levy also stated that he hopes the chemistry and good working environment will last the entire shoot.

"La Tempestad" is scheduled to start shooting on Wednesday and will shoot the locations scenes first. The production will move to Boca del Rio, Veracruz once final contracts are signed. Production will then move to the Televisa studios.

Laura Carmine recently joined production as the lead villain with Sanchez. She replaced Jesscia Coch who will star in the soap opera but not as the antagonist.

"La Tempestad" marks Levy's return to the telenovela after excursions into U.S television and film. He was last seen in "Dancing with the Stars" and will appear in Tyler Perry's next film "Single Moms Club." The actor also starred in "Single Ladies."

The series also stars Diana Bracho, Cesar Evora, Alfonso Herrera, and Luis Manuel Avila. Salvador Mejia will produce the series based on the Colombian telenovela "La Tormenta" and is set to air in Mexico on May 13, 2013 on El Canal de la Estrellas. A U.S release has not been issued.
