The Microsoft Surface tablet has made its way across the pond.

Latinos Post reported last Friday on Microsoft expanding the Surface tablets to Europe and Asia.

"We are eager to see people and businesses in more countries get a chance to experience this new category of devices," said Microsoft Surface Corporate Vice President Panos Panay. "Surface is the best of a tablet and a PC."

Microsoft did differentiate on which Surface tablet will launch where.

The Surface with Windows RT, which made its debut in October, is set to launch in Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, and Taiwan this month. The latest Surface tablet, the Surface with Windows 8 Pro, is set to come in the "coming months" to Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

However, despite the Surface with Windows 8 Pro coming to the U.K., two British retailers are set to sell the Surface with Windows RT tablet as well.

Currys is selling the 32GB model of the 10.6-inch Surface with Windows RT tablet for £399.99. Customers are given the option to buy or reserve a Surface tablet. PC World is also carrying the RT variant of the Surface tablet.

Both Currys and PC World are part of the DSGi group, and according to iTProPortal, a source stated, "I can confirm that the Surface RT will be available to purchase in the first stores this Friday, and will continue to spread through our store network over the coming weeks."

The sales in the U.K. come as the U.S. is experiencing stock issues with the 128GB model of the Surface with Windows 8 Pro. The 128GB model of the Surface with Windows 8 Pro was "out of stock" for a large portion of last week but as of March 4 is accepting orders again. However, customers who purchase the Surface with Windows 8 Pro won't see the tablet shipped until March 12.
