The Nokia Lumia 920 is not available outside of AT&T in the U.S., but Verizon Wireless customers can expect a variation of the Windows Phone 8 smartphone soon.

As Latinos Post reported last Saturday, a Nokia device recently passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) tests. With the identification code RM-860, the Nokia smartphone in question is speculated to join the Verizon carrier due to having Long Term Evolution (LTE) bands 4 and 13, which match Verizon's network.

The Nokia device was given the name "Laser" but a leaked image obtained by Phone Arena showed a Nokia smartphone named "Nokia Lumia 928" listed with fellow Nokia Lumia 822 smartphones.

The "Nokia Lumia 928" image is part of Verizon's internal system, or inventory, and appears to have joined the carrier's system as of Jan. 17 this year.

The specific specs of the Lumia 928 is unknown but it is likely to resemble the current Nokia flagship smartphone Lumia 920.

The Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphone has a screen size of 4.5 inches, 32GB of internal storage with 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 3,264x2,448 pixels with LED flash, Bluetooth 4.0, an NFC chip, 2,000mAh battery capacity, and is available in black, gray, red, yellow and white color options.

The reports of the Lumia 928 come as Nokia confirmed two new smartphones with the Windows Phone 8 operating system - the Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520.

The two new and confirmed Lumia smartphones made their debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) last week.

"The momentum behind Nokia is gathering pace. The launches [at MWC] reflect our commitment to broadening our devices and services portfolio to meet the demands of people and businesses around the globe," said Nokia President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen Elop. "By offering better experiences at a more affordable price we are reinventing the battle for affordable mobile devices, and Nokia has the building blocks to win."
