The prices of the newest Lumia smartphone have been revealed in United Kingdom.
At the 2013 Mobile World Congress, Nokia confirmed two new Lumia devices, the Lumia 520 and the Lumia 720, both continuing to utilize the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 operating system as seen with the flagship Lumia 920.
Nokia President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen Elop said, "By offering better experiences at a more affordable price we are reinventing the battle for affordable mobile devices, and Nokia has the building blocks to win."
The U.K retailer Clove provided their price tags for the Lumia 720 and Lumia 520.
The Lumia 720's specs include a 4.3-inch screen size with a pixel resolution of 800x400 with IPS ClearBlack display, 8GB for internal storage with 512MB of RAM, rear-facing camera with 6.7-megapixels at 2,848x2,144 pixels, 2,000mAh, and a Near Field Communication (NFC) chip.
According to Clove, the price of the Lumia 720 is £249.99 but can go to £299.99 with the U.K's value added tax (VAT). The Lumia 720 will be available in black only at Clover.
When converted to the U.S. dollar, Clover noted the Lumia 720 will cost $379.06, or $454.87 with the VAT as the USD$ exchange rate is approximately $1.5163.
The Lumia 520's specs include a display size of four-inches with 800x400 pixel resolution, 8GB of internal storage with 512MB of RAM, rear-facing camera with five-megapixels at 2,592x1,936, 1,430 mAh for battery capacity, but no NFC.
According to Clove, the Lumia 520 will be available in black and white color options and have a price tag of £141.66, or £169.99 with VAT included.
When converted to the U.S. dollar, Clover noted it will cost $214.80, or $257.76 with the VAT.
