The Metropolitan Opera House announced its 2013-2014 season which featured a wide range of repertoire.

This upcoming season the Met will continue its Peabody award winning Live in HD series. The opera house will present 10 works in movie theaters around the world.

The series will open on October 5th with Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin" starring Anna Netrebko, and Mariusz Kwiecien. Valery Gergiev will conduct the new production by Deborah Warner.

The following HD transmission will take place on October 26th with the revival of Shostakovich's "The Nose." Paulo Szot reprises the role of Kovalyov and Gergiev will conduct.

Luc Bondy's "Tosca" returns to the big screen on November 9th with Patricia Racette and Roberto Alagna. George Gagnidze rounds out the cast with Riccardo Frizza conducting the Met orchestra.

Verdi's "Falstaff" receives its first HD on December 14th with Ambrogio Maestri in the title role. Angela Meade, Lisette Oropesa and Stephanie Blythe also star in Robert Carsen's new production. James Levine returns to the pit.

Renee Fleming brings her acclaimed turn of "Rusalka" to the big screen for the first time. Piotr Beczala, Dolora Zajick and Emily Magee also star. Rising star conductor Yannick Nezet Seguin conducts on February 8th.

March 1st will see Borodin's "Prince Igor" head to cinemas. The new production by Dimitri Tcherniakov will star bass Ildar Abdrazkov, and Anita Rachvelishvili. Gianandrea Noseda conducts.

Jonas Kaufmann and Elina Garanca star in Massenet's "Werther." The new production by Richard Eyre also stars Lisette Oropesa and is conducted by Alain Altinoglu. It will be transmitted on March 15th.

Puccini's "La Boheme" also returns to the big screen with Vittorio Grigolo and Met debutante Anita Hartig. Franco Zeffirelli's lavish production will be conducted by Stefano Ranzoni on April 5th.

James Levine will also conduct Mozart's "Cosi Fan Tutte." The opera will be shown on April 26th and stars Susanna Phillips, Isabel Leonard, Danielle De Niese, Matthew Polenzani and Rodion Pogossov.

The final HD will be "La Cenerentola" on May 10th. The Rossini fairy tale returns to the big screen with Juan Diego Florez and Joyce Didonato. Fabio Luisi conducts this luxurious cast.
