Last night some of the world's most fashionable and talented people attended the 85th Academy Awards ceremony, now known simply as the Oscars. Besides the news stories, Facebook posts and tweets about the awards, the word in the rumor mill was that the Colombian actress and model Sofia Vergara was hospitalized.
On Sunday, the Daily mail reported that Vergara had to cancel her plans for the evening, which included attending the Oscars and Madonna's party, due to being hospitalized for an operation.
The report was a bit strange to some since the actress had been seen out and in good spirits with fiancé Nick Loeb in West Hollywood. The two enjoyed a low-key dinner at BOA Steakhouse.
Later, a source close to the actress told the Huffington post that Vergara was not in the hospital and that "she is totally fine."
As it turns out the "Modern Family" star just stayed in bed sick. Although not 100 percent fine it sure beats being in the hospital.
Closer to beginning of the award show she tweeted a picture of her lying in bed with one eye close and her tongue sticking out - adding yet another funny face to her range of comical expressions. "Watching the Oscars at home so I don't give everyone the flu haha!" the caption stated.
Leave it to Sofia to remain gorgeous even when fighting the flu.
Besides being hard at work with the ABC hit, the face of Cover Girl also joined forces with Kmart back in 2011 to create a sexy and affordable clothing line, Sofia by Sofia Vergara, which has caught the eye and pocket of many voluptuous women in the U.S.
Not only does she envision these Kmart looks, according to InStyle, the Colombian diva has also rocked some the collection's pieces as Gloria on 'Modern Family.'
