Conan O'Brien will host this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner on Apr. 27, the WHC Association's president revealed on Twitter Wednesday. This will be O'Brien's second time hosting the event, which some call the 'nerd prom' because it airs on C-SPAN.

The dinner is also known as the "hottest ticket" in Washington and, according to a release from the White House Correspondents' Association, "draws a wide cross section of movers and shakers from the worlds of journalism, politics, as well as Hollywood, all coming together for one night to help shine the spotlight on the next generation of journalists."

The comedian and talk show host first emceed the event in 1995, when he poked fun at President Clinton by talking to an animated projection of his head.

Here's a video clip of the then-32-year-old O'Brien hosting the 1995 dinner:

The White House Correspondents dinner usually draws a number of high-profile Hollywood celebrities in addition to political figures and journalists. Kim Kardashian and her mother, Lindsay Lohan, Reese Witherspoon, and George Clooney all attended last year's dinner, which was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

Proceeds from the fundraising dinner will help fund over $100,000 in scholarship for high school students aspiring to become journalists, according to the WHCA.

The White House Correspondents' Dinner will air on Apr. 27 on C-SPAN.
