Comic-Con 2013 tickets sold out in just over ninety minutes, and many fans were frustrated by technical glitches that slowed the buying process (read the whole story at Deadline).

But fans looking for a fun geek convention along the west coast need not despair. Tickets are still available for the second-annual Fan Expo Vancouver 2013, where "thousands of fanatics will flock to meet film & TV stars, geek-out over new videogames, nab rare comics, and snap pictures with other fans dressed like their favorite characters," according to an Expo press release.

Guests will include Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films), Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings), Jonathan Frakes (Commander William Riker in Star Trek: The Next Generation), and several other sci-fi, action, and anime celebrities.

The Expo will also host the fourth-annual Canadian Videogame Awards, "which honors the best and brightest in Canadian videogrames," say the Expo's release.

Last year, the first Expo drew nearly 17,000 attendees. Convention tickets sold out on the first day last year, and this year, the expo is moving to another wing of the Vancouver Convention Center in order to accommodate more fans.

"The weekend will be packed with gaming tournaments, Q&A sessions, sketching duals, retail and exhibitor areas, and workshops like special effects/make-up," the press release adds.

The convention will take place April 20-21, 2013, at the Vancouver Convention Centre. More details can be found on the Expo's official website
