Konami has a new trailer out ahead of the Feb. 19 release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

This video showcases the "Skill Upgrades" the cyborg protagonist Raiden can earn throughout the game.

Players purchase skills with battle points, increasing Raiden's offensive and defensive capabilities and allowing him different combat options during fights.

The trailer includes:

Defensive Offense: Allows Raiden to freely sidestep enemy attacks in any direction and effectively counter their aggression. Cost: 3000 BP

Sky High: Improves reaction speed in his quadriceps, enabling a special upward thrust with his weapon held in his foot. Cost: 6000 BP. Sky High appears to allow Raiden to juggle opponents for multiple hits, smacking them into the air before knocking them back down to the ground.

Sweep Kick: Improves reaction speed in his inner hip muscles, enabling him to nimbly lower his body and execute a special foot sweep maneuver. Cost: 10000 BP. Sweep Kick appears to knock enemies prone, and may be able to attack more than one enemy at a time.

Thunder Strike: Improves reaction speed in his triceps, enabling him to channel air pressure into a shockwave. Cost: 10000 BP. Thunder Strike appears to knock foes back in a flash of blue thunder.

Falling Lightning: Twist freely in the air and dive down like a lightning bolt to kick foes with devastating results. Cost 15000 BP.

Lightning Strike: A lightning powered sword cut.

Cercle de L'ang: appears to be a whirlwind attack that strikes all nearby enemies before focusing in one direction.

Stormbringer: Raiden does a handstand and spins around, attacking all enemies. Seems to have a wider radius than Cercle de L'Ang.

Wake Turbulence: Multiple hits against a single opponent as Raiden spins his sword in great arcs.

Chant de L'Ange: Appears to be a multiple-hitting whirlwind attack, culminating in targeted cuts to an enemy's body and a spine extraction. Yes, it pulls out spines. With lightning.
