After Thursday night's exciting and nerve-wracking episode of 'The Vampire Diaries,' fans of Klaroline (Klaus and Caroline) are dying to find out if their favorite pseudo-couple will ever get together. With news that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will soon be getting his own show, called 'The Originals,' should Klaroline fans give up hope for the Original Hybrid and blonde vampire?

Morgan, who plays the evil yet charming Original Hybrid Klaus, opened up to both TV Line and E! Online about his character, the upcoming spinoff and his relationship to Candace Accola's Caroline.

After the last two episodes with Caroline, including letting her love Tyler (Michael Trevino) get a "head start" before hunting him down to kill him, it's more than obvious that Klaus is in love with Caroline, but will he change for her? It doesn't seem likely Morgan said to TV Line. "You know that saying, 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks'? I don't know if he's got it in him. He's pretty stubborn. But you never know. He may be able to compromise a little bit, but I don't think he'll be able to reverse a thousand years of seeing the world one way."

While their relationship has always been strained, the two have managed to find themselves back to each other and may soon actually get closer. Morgan teased to E!, "I can tell you we've done a lot of shooting together. There's still a fair bit of storyline to go between the two characters and things that complicate their relationship even further." He added, "If you can believe that's possible after last week, but they're building a tremendously complicated history already. There's more to come."

If that's not exciting enough for Klaroline fans, Morgan added to TV Line, "Yeah, he's going to get some action." But with Caroline? Fans can only hope.

As for Morgan's exciting new spin-off, which will get its backdoor pilot during episode 20 of TVD, the British actor had plenty of good things to say. "There's other stories to tell outside of Mystic Falls, and this is a chance to really expand that universe. It'll be so interesting to play all the crossovers, as well, if they allow characters to move between [shows]. For the fandom, this is a huge thing because it's going to introduce more and more characters into the world, make the whole thing a lot bigger and a lot more complex, which has got to be a good thing," he told TV Line.

The show, which is being called 'The Originals,' will be based in New Orleans and will feature the three remaining original vamps, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), his brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and little sister Rebekah (Claire Holt). Morgan told E! News that the new spin-off will be "a little more adult, a little more kind of gothic because these are old time Vampires here."

You can see 'The Vampire Diaries' on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
