Homeless to Internet superstar in one day: A local news reporter captured an interview with a hitchhiker after he saved three people from a wildly crazed driver who claimed to be Jesus Christ.

In the explicit, yet touching interview with Kai, age unknown, he explains how he used his own hatchet to overtake the driver after he attacked a utility worker and two females in Fresno, California.

Kai had recently received a ride from the driver on Saturday. The heavyset driver, Jeff Simmons McBride, started ranting racist comments and told Kai how he had raped a 14-year-old girl. The diver finally snapped after dubbing himself Jesus Christ and rammed his truck into another man, pinning him against another car.

"The driver's like, 'You know what? I've come to realize I'm Jesus Christ and I can do anything I f*****g want to and, watch this!' and then drove his Oldsmobile straight into a Pacific Gas and Electric worker who was African American," Kai told the reporter.

The man then exited the car and tried to pull the injured man out from the gnarled mess, risking further injury. According to Kai, by doing so, the injured man would have been left to bleed out.

Two bystanders, Tanya Baker and her daughter, Giner Miller Parraza, rushed over to help. The crazed driver then grabbed one of them and aggressively pulled her away. "A guy that big can snap a woman's neck like a pencil stick," said Kai.

That's when Kai sprung into action. "So I f*****g ran up behind him with a hatchet. Smash, smash, smash!" Kai managed to keep McBride subdued until the police arrived.

The two woman involved in the incident credited Kai with saving their lives and the life of the pinned utility worker. Throughout all the attention and heroic praise, Kai remained modest, saying that he did what he had to do, nothing more.

You can't help but love the free-spirited hitchhiker for his heroic actions, his easygoing attitude, and inspiring message: "Before I say anything else I want to say no matter what you've done you deserve respect. Even if you make mistakes, you're lovable. And it doesn't matter your looks, skills, or age, or size, or anything. You're worthwhile. No one can ever take that away from you."
