The friendly between the United States and Canada has no major ramifications, but it does serve the United States as a much needed warm up prior to their CONCACAF World Cup 2014 qualifiers next week.

Canada is coming off a friendly loss to Denmark and will look to reset against the Americans. The game will be played at the BBVA stadium in Houston and could feature Bill Hamid starting in goal for the Americans. Dwayne DiRosario is expected to start for the Canadians. According to SB Nation blog Black and Red United, the American starting lineup will be made up mainly of "fringe" players that will try to crack the lineup for next week's qualifying matches. Among the players that could start as Tally Hall, Omar Gonzalez, Matt Besler, Tony Beltran, Justin Morrow, Kyle Beckerman, Benny Feilhaber, Graham Zusi, Will Bruin, Josh Gatt, and Eddie Johnson.

The USA faces off against Honduras on Feb. 6, 2013 in the first match of the 2014 World Cup Qualifier.

Predictions: Canada was recently trounced by Denmark; the US is not using its usual starters but should have the advantage nonetheless. 2-0 USA.
