Images of what appears to be a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 hit the web today, with just a month to go before the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona, Spain.

The images appeared on PhoneArena this morning, sparking renewed rumors that Samsung is preparing to unveil their third generations of Galaxy tablets at the upcoming gadget convention, called the Mobile World Congress, which starts on February 25. Previous rumors had a Galaxy Tab 3 coming in two flavors, a 7 inch and a 10.1 inch model. These would be successors to the mid-market Galaxy Tab 2, coming in the same size, but with beefed-up specs.

Previously, the PhoneArena blog reported those rumored specs, or as much of the specs as anyone knows at this point. Supposedly, both the 7 inch and 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab 3s will come with a 5-megapixel camera, and both will be available in both 3G and Wi-Fi-only models. Storage space should be either 16GB or 32GB according to the source of the rumors, but details remain sketchy at this moment.

If the rumors are correct, and we should be finding out more in the coming weeks, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 would be a modest upgrade from the modest Galaxy Tab 2 devices, which featured 7-inch and 10-inch models, with 8GB of internal storage, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the Wi-Fi only model), and variants for both Wi-Fi and some cellular providers. Galaxy Tab 2 models had a price point from around $250.00 to $450.00, depending on whether you had the 7-inch or 10-inch model.
