Lance Arstrong Scandal: Actress Lorena Rojas Says Armstrong Is Still Her Hero

Actress Lorena Rojas revealed in an interview with "Despierta America" that Lance Armstrong was still her hero.

During the interview Rojas stated that Armstrong was never her hero because of the seven medals he won. He was her hero because he won the battle of his life: Cancer. She also stated that she admired him because he has helped save many people's lives thanks to his foundation "Livestrong."

She also said that when she was diagnosed with breast cancer her father gave her Lance Armstrong's book "El Doble Desafio de Lance Armstrong" and she read it. She was inspired by his desire to live and does not feel she was betrayed by his Armstrong's doping.

Lance Armstrong recently confessed to drug use to boost his performance for his seven Tour de France wins.

Lorena Rojas recently confirmed that she was diagnosed with cancer again. However she stated that she would not leave her work again and she would fight hard against it. The actress was diagnosed in 2008 with breast cancer and left acting while she fought against the illness. She then became the face for Armstrong's foundation Livestrong. 

Rojas is currently working on a new telenovela for Venevision entitled "Rosario."  Rojas last starred in "Entre el Amor y el Deseo" and was last seen in the United Stated in 2007 in "Pecados Ajenos" for Telemundo.
