New details about "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been posted online and it seems that Rockstar is looking to rename the sequel of the game if the reports and rumors are to be believed.

It has been alleged that Rockstar is planning to change the name of "Red Dead Redemption 2" and that this is due to the fact that the plot would follow not be the theme of redemption but of something different.

According to Sophia Smith of Cross Map, it has been reported that Rockstar changed the name of "Red Dead Redemption 2" to "Red Dead Revolution" and that the plot would continue the story of Jack Marston following the events of "Red Dead Redemption".

Cross Map reported that Rockstar is allegedly working on two games at the moment, "Grand Theft Auto 6" and "Red Dead Revolution". As was noted on the report, "Red Dead Revolution" would be for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

One interesting detail about the report from Cross Map is that they note that "Red Dead Revolution" would somehow be connected to the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise.

While this is surprising, Rockstar has placed "Red Dead Redemption" easter eggs all over "Grand Theft Auto 5". One of the biggest easter eggs in the game makes it possible that your character in "Grand Theft Auto Online" could be related to John Marston himself.

Cross Map also references Take Two CEO, Straus Zelnick when the CEO noted that the "Red Dead" series is going to be a franchise.

"I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It's obvious that 'GTA' is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that 'Red Dead' is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others," said Zelnick.

It should be noted that Rockstar is hiring for a new game and Cross Map states that this new game is "Red Dead Revolution".

Rockstar San Diego, the dev team behind "Red Dead Redemption" and "Red Dead Revolver", is looking for applicants for the development of their future games for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Meanwhile, Cyberland has claimed that Rockstar is planning the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date to be on October 2016 amidst reports claiming that the game would be out by 2015.
