iOS 7 Rumors: LinkedIn Integration to be Included in Apple's New Mobile Operating System

Apple's next mobile operating system may come with LinkedIn integration, according to reports.

A code-based reference within the iOS 7 beta has pointed to LinkedIn becoming the next social media network to come pre-installed in the mobile platform.

"It is currently uncertain if Apple plans to continue to develop LinkedIn integration for iOS 7, or if it will be a feature that simply vanishes after internal testing," reported 9to5Mac's Mark Gurman.

An example of Gurman's point was in 2010 with iOS 4 beta showing Facebook integration, however, it did not come into fruition until 2012 in iOS 6.

Hamza Sood, who was previously reported on Latinos Post for uncovering hidden settings options such as additional gesture, multitasking, and folder options on the iOS 7, discovered the LinkedIn code.

iOS 7, which will be available for all to install in the fall season, was announced during last Monday's keynote speech at the 2013 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Immediate changes with iOS 7 include typography, icons, and new colors. Apple stated the changes may not be apparent to users at first, but claimed everything works together to create a "harmonious relationship" amongst the iOS elements.

"There is a profound and enduring beauty in simplicity, in clarity, in efficiency," said Apple's Senior Vice President of Design Jony Ive about the iOS 7. "True simplicity is derived from so much more than just the absence of clutter and ornamentation-it's about bringing order to complexity."
