On Sunday the 2013 Grammy Awards was filled with great highlights, moving performances and memorable moments. As the music industry celebrated their most prized artists who let their talent and charm shine throughout the live broadcast in LA., a few stars' used their wit to capture some of the most unforgettable zingers of the night.
Last night on the Grammys, Fun. performed their hit "Carry On" in the early part of the awards show, electrifying the crowd when, half way through the song, simulated rain fell on the set as Nate Ruess amped up his performance. But that rain wasn't comprised of simulated water, so how did fun. avoid electrocuting themselves in front of a live music hall and national T.V. audience?
This year's Grammys was one of the best on record. Some of those favored may not have won, and people will be upset and disgruntled, blaming the Recoding Academy for getting it wrong, but the awards aren't what made Sunday night so special.
The performances at this year's Grammys were some of the most spectacular ever seen. There were certainly a few duds, but the others made up for it, putting any memories of poor performances to bed.
Rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West and the Black Key's Dan Auerback joined Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons and Fun. with six nominations each.
