Miami Marlins Lose Seven Games In A Row, Historically Bad Team Sinking Quickly In The Standings

The Miami Marlins stink. Having lost seven in a row, their record is now 13-39, good for a .250 winning percentage. The last team to close the season with a .250 winning percentage was the 1962 New York Mets, who, at 40-120, finished 60-and-a-half games out of first place.

Obama's Universal Early Childhood Education Plan and the Hispanic Community

According to US Department of Commerce, 31.9% of Hispanics were attending college in 2010, a mighty upward leap from 23.5% in 2003. But despite higher college enrollment, degree completion remains a problem and Hispanics lag behind other minority groups in America by many educational metrics. A big source of the problem, some argue, is Early Childhood Education (ECE), or a lack thereof.
