LeBron James suffered from leg cramps and had to stay on the bench with four minutes left in the fourth quarter until the end, giving the San Antonio Spurs the edge to win Game 1 with a final score of 110-95.

According to the Spurs, the AT&T Center in San Antonio had an electrical power failure, which caused the air conditioning to shut down. One ABC announcer said that the temperature near the court was over 90 degrees Fahrenheit when she recorded it with a thermometer, writes The Epoch Times

James seemed to be in pain throughout the game because of the heat. He constantly asked for water. His left leg was cramping and he was so much in pain that he requested Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra to put him off the court. When he returned on the floor, the two-point lead by the Heat changed into a four-point lead by the Spurs.

James said, "They're trying to smoke us out of here," according to AZ Central.

Game 2 will still be played in San Antonio. The Spurs' home court guaranteed that they will fix the air conditioning system when the game commences on June 8. Games 3 and 4 are scheduled at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

LeBron James did not seem to suffer anything serious. The heat was the culprit for the cramps and as soon as the AT&T Center lowers the temperature back to playing condition, the superstar is expected to fair better until the end of the game. LeBron managed to score 25 points in 33 minutes despite the cramps.

James can play in Game 2. Many of his critics already commented on social media that he was only finding excuses and that other superstars like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant overcame worse odds before and won games despite suffering a flu or breaking an ankle. James is scheduled to be back in practice within 24 hours, although not at the AT&T Center because a concert is already scheduled before the weekend.
