The Indiana Pacers move on to the Eastern Conference finals after winning over the Washington Wizards in Game 6 of the series with a final score of 93-80.

The Pacers finally show that their back in top shape after several experts speculated that there might be a huge upset for the team in the playoffs after their best players were showing signs of stress and fatigue after finishing as the top seed in the East, in a report by ESPN. The Pacers showed their solid defense again in Game 6 while David West scored a team-high 29 points. Indiana was leading by as much as 16 points during the second half and there was a slight sign that the Wizards might actually take the game away from them in the end. West and the rest of the team, however, got the momentum back late in the fourth quarter to win the game on May 15, 2014.

Paul George was not having a great night and scored only 12 points. West, however, picked up in George's stead. George said of West, "When David West has that look, when he's assertive and he demands the ball, I know we're in good hands. He's never failed us when he's given us that look and he's told us in the huddles, 'Get me the ball.'"

In an article by Bleacher Report, the Washington Wizards did not do much to help their case after trailing the Pacers during the first half. John Wall only had 12 points but had nine assists. Marcin Gortat had 19 points. Beal scored 16 points but said that they exert so much effort trying to make a comeback but failed in the end. Roy Hibbert was functional, although not great. The center scored 11 points and had seven rebounds. Hopefully, he will do better against Miami as his previous plays against the defending champions showed during the regular season.

The Wizards seemed to have a problem playing home games with a 5-1 record on the road and going only 1-4 at the Verizon Center during the playoffs.
