Nick Young's missed three-point shot and embarrassingly premature celebration video clip is gaining a lot of views on YouTube.

The Los Angeles Lakers were playing against the New York Knicks on March 25, when Young, who plays guard for the Lakers, attempted a 24-foot buzzer beater to score three points. The ball did not smoothly go through, but was still clattering on the rim, when Young turned to the opposite direction and put his arms up as if to celebrate the score. The kicker, however, was that he didn't make the shot -- the ball rattled out of the ring, just as soon as he started celebrating.

The NBA poked fun at the 28-year-old Young, also known as Swaggy P, for his premature celebration, reports NBC Sports. The YouTube video showing this embarrassing event posted on ESPN had 150,000 views as of this writing -- and that's not counting the other versions of the video posted everywhere else.

The clip showed him celebrating with his arms up when he realized that the ball didn't make it. He immediately ran back to the opposite end to defend as if nothing happened, writes FoxSports. But the public simply couldn't let something like that pass. The Internet exploded with jokes about how Swaggy P's reaction didn't quite fit the moment considering it was just the end of the third quarter. Memes ensued. It was all good for the team, though, as the Lakers were up by 28 points despite the missed shot.

The team delivered a great performance in the third quarter by dropping 51 points then eventually winning the game 127-96. Young made a four-point play in the third quarter and scored 20 points total, hitting five 3-point shots in the process. NBA fans, however, seemed to be more interested in his embarrassing celebration than his great gameplay. After all, seeing an epic fail like this one on the NBA is a rarity.

Now let's watch this infamous video together and see what the fuss is about.
