Former Los Angeles Lakers general manager Jerry West, in an interview on the Dan Patrick Radio Show, commented on Kobe Bryant before he went down with his latest injury. According to the man called the Logo, "When he was playing, to me he didn't look like the same player. He hadn't gotten to where he was real explosive,"

According to the L.A. Timesthe current executive for the Golden State Warriors thinks Kobe ha not reached his full capability after sufffering his Achilles Heel injury last season.

"I think his shooting will always be there, but I've often wondered if he would have just rested another couple of monts, would we have seen a different Kobe Bryant?"

Mamba's latest injury, a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in his left knee, comes after he ruptured his Achilles tendon back in April. Like his previous injury, Kobe Bryant took to Twitter, saying that he is "#BrokenNotBeaten".

Amongst those that sent their best wishes were Pau Gausol, who tweeted, "Tough news today about @kobebryant injury. Despite the multiple injuries we have suffered as a team, we will keep fighting. #MambaGetWell"

Another teammate, rookie Xavier Henry posted, "Even amongst our injuries, there are countless blessings in our lives. Prayin for my dawgs @SteveNash @SteveBlake5 @kobebryant @JrFarmar #LA".

A more philosophical tweet came from another teammate, Robert Sacre, who said, "The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man is perfected without trials."

Even other NBA superstars tweeted their best wishes to the injured future Hall of Famer. NBA.com reports that reigning NBA MVP LeBron James tweeted, "Damn man i feel bad for @kobebryant. If there's anybody and i mean anybody who can come back from that injury it would be him! Best wishes!"
