The Sacramento Kings are reportedly receiving offers from several teams for incoming third-year shooting guard Jimmer Fredette, a source close to situation reported on Wednesday.

Fredette, who captured the 2011 National Player of the Year after an outstanding senior season with the Brigham Young University Cougars, is now on the trading block after struggling in his first two seasons with the Kings.

The former Cougar averaged 7.2 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 14 minutes per ballgame last season. The only upside so far in his career was his over 41 percent shooting from the three point line and 86 percent from the free-throw line.

According to Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report, there are six possible destinations for the shooting guard. The rebuilding Philadelphia 76ers and Utah Jazz will give him enough playing time while the Los Angeles Lakers and the Washington Wizards give him the privilege to carve his career as a solid role player.

On the other hand, the San Antonio Spurs offer him the chance to be a winner after playing for a mediocre ballclub for the first two seasons of his professional basketball career.

Meanwhile, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio is spending the offseason doing all sorts of strength and conditioning workouts to get him prepared for next season. Some of the activities the Spaniard is focusing on are mountain biking and kayaking.

Rubio, who averaged 10.7 points and 7.3 assists last season with the T-Wolves, is getting himself in tip-top shape as he enters the final season of his contract. The Spanish is also scheduled to join Spain in the upcoming Eurobasket championship.

"Ricky has been training hard," Wolves GM Flip Saunders told Real GM. "He hasn't been locked away, not answering phone calls and hiding from everyone like Pek (Nikola Pekovic). He's doing more cross-training, going on 25-mile bike rides into the mountains around Barcelona and getting out kayaking on the ocean."
