Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant is inviting his fans to participate in a charitable cause for a chance to win a once in a lifetime experience with him next month.

The 34-year-old Bryant is encouraging everyone to give small donations for the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation to help the organization in its goal of fighting off homelessness.

"By supporting KVBFF and Sports Spectacular with a small donation toward our mission to fight homelessness, you'll be entered to win the ultimate Kobe experience," Bryant said in a press release.

One lucky participant will win a trip for two to Los Angeles to join Kobe Bryant for the Kobe Up Close event on August 15th at Nokia Center.

"On August 15th I'l be sitting down with Jimmy Kimmel at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live for Kobe Up Close, and I'm going to fly the winner and a friend out to join me. We'll set you up with a place to stay, front row tickets to the show, and passes to the VIP reception beforehand," Kobe added.

Bryant will also give the winner a chance to play one-on-one with him after the event, though he hasn't given a clue regarding what kind of a game it would be.

Alleviating poverty and fighting off homelessness are the main missions of Kobe's foundation, which was established in 2007.

"Homelessness has been a part of our culture for so many years that it can be easy to just let it fade to the background, but we all have the ability to lend a hand and it's important that we do that," said Bryant.

"Remember, with great power comes great responsibility, and we all have the POWER to affect change in the lives of others. Thank you for joining me in this cause, we WILL make a difference," he added.

Fans can give donation and send an entry for the Kobe Up Close Experience through the KVBFF Donation Page.
