The New Orleans Pelicans are now actively shopping shooting guard Eric Gordon a couple of days ahead of the 2013 NBA Draft, a source close to situation reported on Wednesday.

The 24-year old Gordon could change jersey anytime from now after the Pelicans front office declared the shooting guard very available in trade talks.

The Pelicans will reportedly use their sixth overall pick for a shooting guard, likely Indiana Hoosiers guard Victor Oladipo or Kansas Jayhawks shooter Ben McLemore, if still available.

To prevent a logjam in the shooting guard position, the Pelicans have decided to put Gordon on the trading block in an attempt to snatch another first round pick or other assets on Draft Night.

Last offseason, the Pelicans brought back Gordon after matching the Phoenix Suns' four-year, $58 million deal for the guard. Gordon badly wanted to play for the Suns during that time and initially got disappointed after learning the Pelicans matched the offer sheet.

The Miami Heat will retain the service of Mario Chalmers after exercising the team option to keep the starting point guard for the 2013-14 season.

Chalmers, who averaged 9.4 points and 3.1 assists throughout the Heat's championship run, is expected to pocket $4 million next season.

The point guard played a crucial role in the last two games of the NBA Finals, in which he averaged at least 17 points per game to help the Heat win their second straight NBA title.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly eyeing Houston Rockets forward Thomas Robinson. The Cavs, who recently flirted to land Portland Trail Blazers forward Lamarcus Aldridge, will offer their 19th overall pick in the draft for the former Jayhawks star.

Selected fifth overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2012, the 6-foot-10 Robinson split his rookie season with the Kings and the Houston Rockets, averaging 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game. Robinson played his first 51 games with Sacramento before he was traded to the Rockets along with Francisco García and Tyler Honeycutt in exchange for Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas and Cole Aldrich before the trade deadline.
