With the arrival of Doc Rivers as the new head coach for the Los Angeles Clippers, the possibility of Chris Paul and Dwight Howard joining forces is slowly fading away. However, a new-found friendship with another former prep-school prodigy could give the All-Star center a new hope to finally snatch his first NBA ring.

It's no secret that Howard is going to test the free-agency market come July 1 after playing one fruitless season with the Los Angeles Lakers. In fact, rumors about him playing for the Houston Rockets have been swirling over the past few weeks.

With CP3 likely to re-sign with the Clippers after the ball club successfuly landed a championship-caliber head coach in Rivers, Howard is left out there searching for a young point guard - sorry Steve Nash - that can understand his playing style well.

Surprise! Surprise! Here comes former no.1 prep prospect and Washington Wizards point guard John Wall in the picture.

Wall, who was blatantly criticized by a Washington reporter for showing off his new set of tattoos, has apparently formed a good rapport with the three-time defensive player of the year.

The former Kentucky star previously said that he doesn't want to beg free-agents to play with him, but the latest Twitpic suggested that he might have had a change of heart.

When healthy and motivated, Wall is one of the best young point guards in the league with the ability to fill up the score sheets at any given game.

The Wizards have been doing things quite suspicious as of late, including a plan to shop their starting center Emeka Okafor. Like the Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and other suitors for Dwight, the Wizards can pull off a deal for the coveted bigman despite having a 'tricky' cap space.

Who knows? Everything is possible. Actually, Howard and Wall on the same time is quite scary partnership to reckon with.
