The criticism continues to haunt Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose following the Blackhawks' epic 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins to win their second Stanley Cup title in four years on Monday.

Rose, who skipped the rest of the season to rehabilitate his surgically repaired knee, appeared in some of the Hawks' postseason games wearing the hockey team's famous jersey, but drew ire from several Chicago fans for not playing a single game for the injury-marred Bulls during the NBA playoffs.

Twitter users expressed their excitement about the Blackhawks' recent Stanley Cup triumph and at the same time, took a few shots at Rose.

Several fans lauded the performance of Patrice Bergeron who suffered broken ribs, a torn cartilage, and a separated shoulder during the brutal Stanley Cup series but was still able to play in the highly crucial Game 6.

"Derrick Rose cleared by doctors, never plays. Patrice Bergeron played w/ a broken rib/torn cartilage/separated shoulder in Game 6. #hockey," posted by a fan on Twitter

Rose was already cleared by doctors to play several weeks before the All-Star break but settled to sit on the bench because of muscle memory difficulties.

The Bulls managed to overcome the Brooklyn Nets in seven thrilling games in the first round despite dealing with several injuries on key players such as Kirk Hinrick, Luol Deng and Joakim Noah. They eventually ran out of gas against the eventual NBA Champion Miami Heat in the second round.

Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau recently provided some positive updates about the development of Rose, who has reportedly regained his explosiveness since the injury.

But so far, it looks like criticism on Rose won't go away until he finally struts his stuff on the hardcourt.
