San Antonio Spurs All-Star Tony Parker underwent an MRI on Wednesday and the result revealed a slight hamstring strain that could potentially keep the Spurs starting point guard from playing in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Thursday at AT&T Center.

The 31-year-old Parker suffered the injury during the third quarter of the Spurs' 113-77 blowout win over the Miami Heat in Game 3 of their best-of-seven championship series on Tuesday.

"I felt something in my hamstring," Parker said during the post-game press conference, according to USA Today. "Hopefully it's nothing big, just cramping or got tight on me. It was a weird feeling. I just went to make sure with the doctor I was OK. Then I played like two minutes in the fourth quarter. We were up big, (Spurs coach Gregg Popovich) didn't want to take any risks. We'll see tomorrow."

Parker's injury, though a minor one, could be a major disaster for the Spurs' championship hope as they attempt to build a commanding 3-1 series advantage with just two days of recovery time.

The French point guard missed 16 games in the regular-season, but the Spurs managed to carve out a respectable 11-5 slate without him on the floor. However, almost all basketball analysts believe the Spurs have no chance to close out the series, if Parker is going to stay on the sideline.

"We'll see [Thursday] how I feel," Parker told CBS Sports after learning the result on Wednesday. "I really hope to play."

The Spurs listed Parker day-to-day and it could open up more playing time for backup point guard Gary Neal, who scored career finals high 24 points on 6-for-10 shooting from behind the arc.

Game 4 of the NBA Finals is slated on Thursday at AT&T Center.
