The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat, 92-88, to take Game 1 of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals series, despite LeBron James earning his 10th career playoff triple-double.

Tony Parker, who finished with 21 points and 10 assists, sunk a acrobatic bucket - practically falling to his knees with James guarding him, with 5.2 seconds left to play, to seal the game for San Antonio, as time was winding down on the shot clock.

"I was just trying to get a shot up," Tony Parker told ESPN's Doris Burke during the post-game interview. "I was going down and stayed composed and got a shot up."

Miami had the lead most of game, up until the fourth quarter. While James scored 18 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, and had 10 assists, he struggled from the field going 7-of-16. Dwyane Wade scored 17 points for the defending champions but was nonexistent in the fourth quarter.

"We don't really worry about what's going on in the game except the things that we can control," said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich in the post-game press conference. "What one can do is continue to play [defense] and continue to rebound and just hang and hang and hang. It's a 48-minute game, and in the NBA, things go back and forth many many times. The ability to move on to the next play is what's really important if a team wants to be good."

Game 2 is Sunday night, at American Airline Arena, in Miami.
