San Antonio Spurs All-Star center Tim Duncan is set to end his 12-year marriage with wife Amy Duncan, a source close to situation reported on Saturday.

According to San Antonio Express news, Duncan's wife Amy filed for divorce last March with the court proceedings reportedly scheduled to start after the playoffs.

Spurs spokesman Tom James finally confirmed reports on Saturday that Duncan and his wife are divorcing.

The former two-time MVP did not show up to reporters following Saturday's morning shootaround, although James already cleared that Duncan will not disclose any detail of his divorce or the current situation of his family. Tim and Amy married in 2001 and have two children.

Duncan, who was named to his 10th All-NBA First Team selection, is currently playing a crucial role for the Spurs against the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference finals.

So far, the 37-year old Duncan isn't showing signs of slowing down as he averaged 17.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in the playoffs.

However, the best-of-seven Western Conference finals series between the Spurs and the Grizzlies isn't generating much interest with last Sunday's series opener drawing a 3.9 overnight rating on ABC.

The figure is the lowest since the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons kicked off the Eastern Conference finals series in 2007. The series opener garnered just a 3.5 overnight rating on TNT.

Moreover, the Spurs-Grizz rating is 41 percent down than the opener of the Miami Heat-Boston Celtics and 26 percent lower than the Oklahoma City Thunder-Dallas Mavericks Western Conference finals series in 2011, both on ESPN.

The Spurs are the 36th largest market while the Grizzlies are 49th in the country.

The NBA is trying to come up with new television contracts with TV giants to continuing building a strong market within and outside the United States.
