According to NBA star Steve Nash's ex-wife, Alejandra, the future Hall of Famer is trying to stop her from moving from Phoenix to Los Angeles .

The reason, according to court documents filed by Alejandra as reported by TMZ.com, is because Nash allegedly does not want to pay child support for the three children he had with her.

Perez Hilton.com reported months ago that Nash, a former NBA MVP and eight-time NBA All-Star, "did not want, nor thought he should have to, pay child support in addition to the things he was already required to cover" in his divorce settlement.

Nash and Alejandra are reportedly locked in a legal dispute regarding whether or not she is allowed to move.

According to the documents, Alejandra wants to relocate to Los Angeles, where Nash plays point guard with the L.A. Lakers--whom he signed for three years and $27 million with in the 2012 offseason--so her children could be closer to their father. However, Nash has told her he didn't want her to relocate and uproot the children because he could be traded or retire at any given point.

However, Nash's ex-wife counters that the real reason is because the California court system is likely to put some stringent child support obligations on Nash. Furthermore, Alejandra claims that Nash is not paying anything in child support and he has allegedly admitted to her that he would like to be closer to his children.

A judge has issued a restraining order against Alejandra that bars her from moving to Los Angeles until their hearing begins next week.
