Only four teams remain in the quest for the NBA title, but for the remaining 26 teams left, 10 of them will be in perfect position to start building for the future as the 2013 NBA Draft Lottery takes place tonight.

Several teams will be in position to get the best picks of the incoming lottery class. Last year, the New Orleans Hornets drew the top pick in the draft and selected shot-blocking big man Anthony Davis with the No.1 pick. Of course, the prize of the draft ended up being point guard Damien Lillard, selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the No.6 pick and becoming an instant star, scoring 19.0 points and 6.5 assists on the way to a Rookie of the Year season.

This year, the Charlotte Bobcats, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic and New Orleans Pelicans, all of whom finished with the four worst records in the NBA this season, are in prime position to get a potentially fate-changing draft pick. Orlando changed their fortunes in 1992 when they drafted Shaquille O'Neal and the Cleveland Cavaliers went from the outhouse to the penthouse in the vaunted 2003 draft--which featured Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh--when they selected LeBron James with the No.1 pick.

Now, teams will have their shot at being able to draft upcoming young prospects such as Nerlens Noel, Cody Zeller, Ben McLemore, and more with the draft coming up near the end of June after the NBA Finals will conclude. Yet only one team can draft the No.1 pick, and the higher the number, the better the chances are of finding the next potential NBA star.

Latinos Post breaks down the potential draft projections for the NBA Lottery Draft:

Draft projections

1.        Orlando Magic

The magic has pretty much disappeared from Orlando following Dwight Howard's departure last summer in a trade that reverted the Magic from title contenders to basement dwellers in the Eastern Conference. With a franchise that has seen the departure of stars such as Shaquille O'Neal, Howard and Penny Hardaway through the years, taking the No.1 draft would give the fans some hope.

2.        Phoenix Suns

The Suns had one of their worst season in three years since Amar'e Stoudemire packed up and headed to the Knicks in the 2010 offseason. But things could start looking up as former Boston Celtics assistant Ryan McDonough, now the general manager for Phoenix, says he wants to rebuild through the draft. After finishing with a lowly 25-57 record, the Suns look poised to score one of the big prospects in the draft.

3.        Charlotte Bobcats

The Bobcats will need more than a name change back to the Hornets to get any traction going. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, a top lottery pick from last year, showed some flashes of potential, but for Michael Jordan's team to have any hope of success, they will need to get a star, a legitimate star, from the draft.

4.      New Orleans Pelicans

Don't let the 27-55 record fool you. The Pelicans have some nice young stars in the emerging Greivis Vasquez and the athetic Anthony Davis. Of course, they still could use some extra offensive punch, and perhaps the draft will be the way to go. New Orleans had a major pick in the draft was 2005, when they selected Chris Paul with the No.4 pick, which helped turn the Hornets into a playoff contender. Can lightning strike twice?

5.     Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have been reeling and on the ropes after basically being a doormat for much of the Western Conference last season, which they finished with a 28-54 record. They have decent building blocks in DeMarcus Cousins and Toney Douglas, but they clearly need more. Can they get some of what they need in the draft?

6.         Cleveland Cavaliers

Still in rebuilding mode post-LeBron James, the Cavs look like they have a handle on their future with All-Star Kyrie Irving and promising draft prospect Dion Waiters. But they still lack defense and could do with a little size. The draft has some promising prospects such as Zeller, but the Cavs will have to hope for the luck of the draw to be in their favor.

7.         Washington Wizards

The Wizards have a blue chip in John Wall, but that's about it. They could do with some new legs in the front court, and the draft. Zeller and Mason Plumlee from Duke could fit the bill nicely for them.

8.     Toronto Raptors

The rebuilding process began in Toronto with acquiring Rudy Gay via trade in midseason from Memphis. However, as their 34-48 record shows, they could still use much in the way of talent. Their paltry record in the East will undoubtedly help them get a good standing, but will it be enough to help them land a good player?

9.    Detroit Pistons

The Pistons got a true blue chip with a big upside last year when they drafted the athletic Andre Drummond. They're still far away from getting back into the shape they were in during their glory days of 2003 through 2005, where they yielded an NBA title and an NBA Finals appearance. Can they continue the rebuilding through the draft?

10.     Dallas Mavericks

Dirk Nowitzki is on his way out, that's no secret. The question is, how do Dallas owner Mark Cuban and his team build from there, and be ready when the future Hall of Famer does call it a career? The answer could be simple-through the draft. The Mavs still have a star for the future in O.J. Mayo, but does Dallas have the luck of the draw on their side necessary to pluck a game-changing star needed for their rebuilding efforts?

TV Schedule
