The first round series are heading to their conclusion point as some teams fight to stay alive while others are looking to move on as the NBA playoffs continue on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Harrison Barnes' 23 points and Stephen Curry's 15 points and eight assists helped the Golden State Warriors stave off elimination by beating the Denver Nuggets 107-100 in a thriller. The Nuggets hold a 3-2 advantage in the series with Game 6 scheduled to be Thursday at the Warriors hometown of Oakland, Calif.

And at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the Memphis Grizzlies got huge help from their starting lineup, four starters in double figures for scoring lead by Zach Randolph's 25 points, as the Grizzlies beat the Clippers 103-93 to stave off elimination and send the series back to Memphis for Game 6; the Clippers lead the series 3-2, but Blake Griffin's ankle injury could impact the series gravely.

The playoffs continue on Wednesday and kick off in historic Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y, where the Atlantic Division champion New York Knicks look to put away their hated rival the Boston Celtics. Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and the Celtics stayed alive in the series with a 107-100 win on Sunday in Boston to avoid the sweep, but have to visit the Garden, where NBA scoring champion Carmelo Anthony, All-Star Tyson Chandler and returning J.R. Smith, the Knicks' Sixth Man of the Year who sat out on suspension for Game 4, will be ready to go. Will the Knicks complete their first playoff series win since 2000, or will the Celtics force a Game 6?

Then the action continues in Indiana, where the Atlanta Hawks and the Central Division champion Indiana Pacers clash in a pivotal Game 5. The series is all tied up at two games apiece, and All-Star Paul George and Roy Hibbert are looking to get a boost from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to get the edge in the series. But soon-to-be free agent Josh Smith, who scored 29 points during the Hawks' 102-91 win Monday and is averaging 18.5 points in the series, and the Hawks would love to get the edge in the series for a chance to close it out in Game 6 on Friday in Atlanta.

And in prime time, the Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to move on while the Houston Rockets look to stay alive in a critical Game 5 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. The Rockets staved off elimination thanks to 27 points from Chandler Parsons in Game 4 on Monday. The Thunder lead the series 3-1.

With injuries to Russell Westbrook and Jeremy Lin plating a factor for both teams, it will likely come down to whether either the Thunder's Kevin Durant or the Rockets' James Harden--ex-teammates from last year's NBA Finals Thunder team--will be able to dominate. The game will also feature the return of Patrick Beverley to Oklahoma City, following his controversial steal attempt that led to Westbrook being knocked out of the playoffs with a season-ending meniscus tear. He will likely face a hostile crowd as the Rockets attempt to rally from a 1-3 deficit.
