John Cena finally made his much-awaited return at WWE Raw last Monday and went after Alberto Del Rio as expected.

To recall, it was Del Rio who succeeded Cena as the United States champion since the Cenation leader was set to go on some time off. With his vacation over and done with, he is back, and probably some order will be restored in the WWE scene, as cited by the Bleacher Report.

That angle remains to be seen of course due to complications. Del Rio is affiliated with the “League of Nations”, meaning Cena will have to deal not only with the Hispanic star but also the likes of Sheamus, Rusev and King Barrett.

With that inevitably happening, Cena will be against big odds. With a massive collection of heels, Cena is likely to find the road rough. He may, however, not be alone.

Another face wrestler that the “League of Nations” have to deal with is WWE heavyweight champion Roman Reigns.

The “Big Dog’s” main adversary is of course Sheamus, but everyone knows that his cohorts will get involved time and again as long as the faction exists. So will we see Reigns and Cena joining forces at some point?

That is highly possible though it may depend on what the storyline calls for. When WWE RAW went off the air, Cena and Reigns were seen in a staredown, as reported by Wresling Inc.

That happened when the current and future face star of the WWE were cleaning house. They fended off Sheamus, Rusev, and Alberto Del Rio before the face-off, which could be viewed in several ways.

One is that we see the present and the future obviously showing dislike for the other but find themselves finding a common enemy. They will most likely enter an alliance of sorts like tag team matches against the “League of Nations”, and such may happen in one of the upcoming WWE shows.

If not alliances, it could be seeds for a possible tiff in the future. Everyone knows that at some point, the two will have to face each other again, something seen by many as the transition from Cena to Reigns. If so, it could be the culminating part of passing the torch onto Reigns.

Then again, it could mean nothing. Remember that it was shown when RAW went off air.

Regardless, something could be cooking, and from the looks of it, the two may not be working as a cohesive unit when paired up against the “League of Nations”.

Right now, Reigns already has a WWE title match against Sheamus, with WWE CEO Vince McMahon as special guest referee on next week’s episode of RAW.

From the looks of it, Reigns stands to be screwed by the WWE owner though we all know there could be a twist developing. And on that note, will John Cena get involved?
