Miley Cyrus deviates from the norm again. While everyone, celebrities and stars included, seem to be having a blast this holiday season, the singer posted a melancholy tune called "My Sad Christmas." The song is allegedly perfect for those who are not having the time of their lives with reunions and other joyous activities.

US Magazine reports that the song from the artist who was not afraid to come out this year as pansexual seems to speak volume on what she truly feels. The lyrics included being lonely and wondering why she took the effort to "put up the f---ing tree if there's no one here that's gonna see" it.

True to Cyrus' style, the song was not without its funny, sarcastic side. The "Wrecking Ball" singer sings about how it would be a good idea to leave Santa Claus beer instead of cookies and milk. She also described Santa as cute.

She also sings about being called a "grinch" by her sister and a "bitch" by her mother. Still, even with these sad lyrics, Cyrus made a turnaround before the song ends and wished a mystery person a Merry Christmas, saying she misses the person so much.

Miley introduced the song on the day before Christmas via Twitter with the caption, "Out nowwwwww on SoundCloud!!! #mysadchristmassong." The announcement of the song came just shortly after she completed her "Milky Milky Milk" Tour with the Flaming Lips.

Fans need not worry that she spent Christmas alone though. Her grandmother was able to keep her company. Cyrus posted a picture of her and her grandma on her Instagram.

Ironically, earlier this month, the former "Hannah Montana" star was one of the stars to usher in the Christmas spirit. Daily Mail UK reported that more than two weeks before Christmas, Miley Cyrus showed off her angelic voice by singing "Silent Night" for Bill Murray's Netflix special "A Very Murray Christmas." She performed the song atop a white piano, dressed up in a cute Christmas outfit. As she belted out the classic yuletide ballad, former band leader and sidekick of the "Late Show with David Letterman" Paul Shaffer played the piano.

The Netflix show featured George Clooney, Amy Poehler and Chris Rock, among others. The special was released on Dec. 4 and received outstanding reviews. According to Netflix Life, the movie ranked among the 50 best Christmas movies on Netflix. Actor Bill Murray earned a SAG nomination for Best Actor in a television movie or miniseries for this work on this special.
