While most people could gain weight by Christmas season, one woman claims she actually stays in shape year-round by feasting on a daily basis. Apparently, the Bristol resident notes having Christmas dinner daily in nearly two decades, with very good results.

Express reports that Jayne Winteringham, 60, eats roast dinner daily and has not changed the menu item for the past 15 years. Through this period, she has approximately eaten 5,475 roasts and 82,125 sprouts.

Jayne also likes to complete the Christmas feel by setting up candles on the dinner table. She adds vegetables and potatoes with the meat. The diet allegedly started when all her kids left home.

Currently, Jayne consumes 1,460 potatoes, 1,095 carrots and 5,475 sprouts every year. She has eaten 21,900 potatoes and 16,425 carrots since 2000.

Jayne explains that she eats the meal after she returns home from work. The Christmas dinner is a great way to end the day. Sometimes, she has leftovers, which she might turn into curry, salads or soups. Her kids also visit sometimes and she prepares the same meal for them. At times, she has foreign students staying with her and they also love the British tradition of eating roast often.

According to the part-time sales executive, her repetitive diet guarantees that she has the same caloric intake on a daily basis, which keeps her weight from fluctuating.

While some would question whether the dish remains appetizing after all these years, Jayne says she would never get tired and sick of her usual meal.

“I have a Christmas dinner every day. I love roasts. I’m always eating them…summer, winter; all year round,” Jayne said in the same Express report. “Friends probably think I'm bonkers, but a roast is a balanced meal – meat and three veg. I never put weight on. I'm the same size as I was when I was 18 – a size 10.”

According to the Daily Mail, many nutritionists agree that meat may not be consumed every day. Reportedly, most people get more protein than the recommended daily intake (85g for men and 62g for women) from food such as fish, eggs, milk, bread, etc.

The World Cancer Research Fund also recommends eating no more than three ounces of white meat every day and limiting red meat to once a week, considering the latter's high levels of saturated fats, the Daily Mail notes.

Jayne is convinced that the diet maintains her weight. She shares that she still wears the same jeans and weighs 62 kilograms. By eating the same kind of food regularly, her intake remains stable. She has always been fond of Christmas dinner.

Meanwhile, Jayne adds that the gravy is her favorite part of the meal. This includes the idea that it can be easy to prepare while also being nutritious.
