It seems that Liam Payne already truly moved on from being a band member of the prolific boyband, One Direction to be a full-fledged songwriter instead. Fans feel mixed up on what to feel for their idol.

According to Teen Vogue, One Direction member Liam Payne announced on Twitter asking his 21 million followers to check out a music video entitled "The Night We Met" sang by the Irish boy band called "Hometown", within an hour the hashtag #NightWeMet trended worldwide. He wrote the said song with Hometown and Jamie Scott. Because the song was released approximately a month ago, this may imply that Liam has already planned to move on before they announced the hiatus and start a career with solo song writing. This isn't the first time One Direction members helped other artists compose or write songs though. Harry Styles once helped Ariana Grande.

According to OK UK, Liam Payne recently jokingly tweeted about lining up in job centre to find a job since the band is coming to an end. Avid fans pointed out that this is a spoof from his bandmate Niall Horan. This bittersweet news had the Directioners torn whether they should be happy or not, realizing Liam has already moved on and shared his first musical work outside the band. Some are hoping this is just a temporary break and One Direction would soon reunite again.

One Direction is one of the most influential bands around the world, they started from X Factor and won the second runner up title. They started with five in a group (Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne) and now they are left with 4 members because band member Zayn Malik decided quit the band to go solo. The award winning band announced their break last November and many are devastated and shocked to hear this. The news broke the Internet and many fans were heart broken. True to their word, the TeenChoice award-winning band performed for one last time on X Factor last December 13 and gave their heartfelt gratitude for their fans who supported them since the beginning. They also performed their hit singles entitled "Infinity" and "History."

For the mean time, while the boys are still on their well deserved break, fans can deviate their attention to the new rising band "Hometown." Hometown is an Irish boyband consisting of six members, which are Cian Morrin, Dayl Cronin, Dean Gibbons, Josh Gray, Ryan McLoughlin and Brendan Murray. They are formed and handled by Louis Walsh, an "X Factor" judge.
