The lines have been drawn and the teams have been confirmed for "Captain America: Civil War" but there will be a noticeable change for one character in particular, War Machine.

According to Cinemablend, War Machine will be getting yet another name change to his armor. Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes, now played by Don Cheadle, will be changing the name of his armor to War Hammer.

Thus far, there is no real reason for the change to War Hammer, but it wouldn't be the first time the character's armor name was changed. In "Iron Man 3", the name of the armor was changed to the Iron Patriot because the name tested well in study groups.

Then for no reason given, the armor was renamed back to War Machine for "Avengers: Age of Ultron," and now to War Hammer. Slash Film reports that the name change was confirmed when Marvel released promotional art for "Captain America: Civil War". There, the character was clearly labeled War Hammer.

Several rumors have begun to circulate regarding the name change. One of the most credible seems to be surrounding the fact that the War Hammer armor was indeed fully upgraded by Hammer Industries, one of the leading competitors of Stark Industries, hence the name change to War Hammer.

However, it should be noted that Justin Hammer, played by Sam Rockwell in "Iron Man 2," has not been seen nor heard from after the ending events of "Iron Man 2."

While the War Hammer armor has been taking a back seat since the last "Iron Man" film, he is set to be the second in command of Team Iron Man when the battle begins.

It seems though that things might not be smooth sailing for Rhodey and his armor as the trailer clearly shows that he has been hurt badly and his armor severely damaged. Would this incident spell the end of the War Hammer and does it mean that Tony Stark's Team loses?

For answers, fans will just have to wait for the film to debut.

"Captain America: Civil War" is slated for May 6, 2016 and stars Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Scarlet Johansson as Black Widow, Paul Betony as Vision, and many more.
