The last thing that the WWE wants right now is to see another star taken out on account of an injury.

There has been word that Dean Ambrose is allegedly dealing with an injury, but it turns out that it isn’t as serious as the ones that befell other major WWE stars.

As per reports by PWMania.com, Ambrose is indeed bothered by an injury though it only involves his wrist. The “Lunatic Fringe” has been known to take it to extreme levels, and the said injury is unlikely to force him to the sidelines.

Ambrose finally won a WWE belt when he defeated Kevin Owens at WWE TLC to become the new WWE Intercontinental champion. The move of course came with widespread approval considering Ambrose is a fan favorite and someone who has been aching to wear WWE gold around his waist.

However, as far as his storyline with Kevin Owens is concerned, don’t expect such to be ending anytime soon. Owens is livid and wants the belt back, something he stressed at WWE Smackdown.

However, it may not just be a pure Ambrose vs. Owens set, with the insertion of Dolph Ziggler as the third man in the mix. While it seemed at first that Ziggler was simply competing against Owens for payback after receiving a powerbomb at WWE Raw, a new twist evolved before the night came to a close.

After heading out to aid Ziggler on WWE Smackdown from a ballistic Owens, Ziggler connected with a “superkick” to Ambrose. While it could be seen as a reflex action, it seems that the hit was intentional, which makes it a three-cornered fight for the Intercontinental title.

Could the trio mix it up in a possible Triple Threat Match at the WWE Royal Rumble?

If the sudden turn of events is any indication, it could end up as one of the cards. If so, it could be a tough PPV event for Ambrose, although it could also be viewed as an advantage of sorts depending on how he plays his cards.

The merry mix up signals a whole new storyline, particularly with the insertion of the “Showoff”. Recall that he was last caught up in a feud with newcomer Tyler Breeze, but obviously, such didn’t really make much noise.

With that out of the way, Ziggler has now set his sights on the IC belt. From the looks of it, Ziggler couldn't care less if he has to go through Ambrose or Owens to win the title.
