Brock Lesnar is back as scheduled, appearing at the Forum in Los Angeles to face United States champion Alberto Del Rio at a WWE live event.

Lesnar was his usual dominant self, employing his patented suplexes on the champion. Though such was expected from the “Beast Incarnate”, Del Rio used his wits to try and weather the rampage of Lesnar, as reported via the Wrestle Zone.

However, Del Rio needed some help, and comrade Rusev came running. That of course resulted in Lesnar winning via disqualification, although Rusev got suplexed as well for his troubles.

With that over and done with, a pressing question now is whether this is a sign of things to come. Lesnar is not involved in any major storyline at the moment, and rumors have it that the Beast would be eyeing the US title.

However, to do so could mean taking on the “League of Nations”, via Sports World News. Del Rio and Rusev are of course part of that stable spearheaded by recently dethroned WWE champion Sheamus, which brings many questions in mind.

Will Sheamus make a serious run at the US title and run roughshod over Del Rio? All that should be answered soon, but it does somehow hint of Lesnar (sort of) taking a face role. It begs the question as well if Sheamus would be in any way involved.

With common foe/s, would it be possible to see Lesnar and Reigns teaming up for a common cause to fight the League of Nations (and technically “The Authority”)?

Weighing in on the relationship of Lesnar and Reigns, both haven’t been heated rivals the last time they crossed paths. Though the two did have that gruelling match at Wrestlemania 31, both had respect for each other outside the brash talks and psyche outs.

Of course, we still have to see how Lesnar fares once he appears on the regular WWE shows. The WWE live event was grand but it does not necessarily mean that it is a sign of things to come.

The thought of seeing both stars working as a unit is daunting. Everyone knows the power they both carry, and even a faction like the “League of Nations” may find it rough to overcome them despite their advantage in numbers.

Then again, there is another scenario wherein Sheamus could focus on Reigns and Del Rio holding up against Lesnar. As for Rusev, seeing that he is more of a chaperone to both, he could get involved with either party during matches.
