One can't help but watch people as they stand in line at a grocery or clothing store. It's a natural instinct.

For Salt Lake City-based entertainer Jason Hewlett, his wandering eye almost got him in trouble after admitting that he "sort of" cheated on his wife with a beautiful blonde he saw at Target.

"Kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I think I sort of cheated on my wife today," Hewlett wrote. "To explain what I mean, I was at Target getting a few manly things...and as I went to pay I saw this woman in line that knocked me out. I thought. 'Wow, some lucky guy is with her'."

That lucky guy, it turns out, was Hewlett himself. The woman in line was his wife, only neither knew they would be at the store at the exact same time. His online love letter has garnered over 380,000 likes and 235,000 shares on Facebook since being posted on Dec. 1.

"In a split second I realized it was my wife!" he wrote. "You know, it was just out of context to see my spouse at the same store, in the same line, living her life and not know she might be at the same place, same time, different car."

Hewlett told TODAY.com that he didn't think much of the picture when uploaded it last Wednesday because he often posts about his wife on social media. He only thought it bizarre when friends from around the country began commenting.

As for those who think it was a stunt, his wife, Tami, assured everyone that is wasn't fake through a Facebook post of her own.

"He probably did not recognize me that day because I actually got ready," she wrote. "He usually sees me in a braid and in my 'good sweats' and he loves me that way too!"
