Canelo Alvarez is expectedly still pumped up and as seen during his post-fight press conference, the Mexican hotshot is looking to fight anyone.

Alvarez scored a unanimous decision win over Miguel Cotto to become the lineal WBC middleweight champion but the apparent route that looms for the Mexican is a collision with WBC mandatory challenger Gennady Golovkin.

It will be recalled that Alvarez and camp may be looking to add a stipulation that of which is to set a 155 lbs. catchweight. Golovkin is not keen on the idea and the reality of it all is that the WBC is not obligated to give in to Alvarez’ request.

Regardless, Alvarez says he is ready to take on Golovkin despite the fact that Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya has not committed in making the fight happen, at least not yet.

De La Hoya plans to sit down with Alvarez to discuss their options, including future opponents aside from Triple G.

With that said, the name of Floyd Mayweather Jr. is once again in the mix for a possible rematch as mentioned via CBS Sports. Mayweather and Alvarez had faced off in 2013 with the undefeated boxer churning out a dominant display.

Alvarez admitted that he was not his usual self at that time though from the looks of it now, he is ready for another crack if Mayweather is interested in fighting him.

When word about it reached Mayweather, it wasn’t exactly something that he would be interested in.

The undefeated and retired boxer reiterated yet again that he is retired from the sport and has no plans of fighting again, at least for now.

"Canelo, you a good fighter, but you already know what it is when you face me, boy. Class is in session! I faced Canelo, Cotto, and Pacquiao, and I know who's the best out of the three. I know how they all rate, and I know something all three of them guys got in common," says Mayweather via Fighthype.com

With that said, any hope of a possible rematch with Mayweather may realistically have to be counted out since it doesn’t appear that the undefeated boxer is interested in a return and more so against the rising Mexican boxer.

Before doing so though, it may be best to address Golovkin first before looking at other opponents.

Golovkin is eager to face Alvarez, someone he picked (via Boxing News 24) to win the fight and also an opponent whom he feels will give him problems.
