The latest results from the presidential polls show Ben Carson as the most favorable GOP candidate, however he and Trump are mostly even in the race for the Oval Office.

ABC News and Washington Post polls most recently examined the favorability and un-favorability among Republican voters and all Americans.

Ben Carson lead popularity among Republicans with a 71 percent rating while Trump came in at 69. The remaining Republican hopefuls trailed behind. Marco Rubio earned a 58 percent favorable rating, while Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush received a 53 and 56 percent However, closer examination of the poll reveals, Carson is viewed as the least unfavorable of the GOP candidates with an 18 percent rating. Jeb Bush was the most unfavorable at 37 percent, followed by Ted Cruz at 31, Donald Trump at 29 percent, and Marco Rubio at 22 percent.

In addition, when surveying all Americans, regardless of their party, Americans ranked Ben Carson as most favorable with a 50 percent rating and unfavorable with a 32 percent rating. Donald Trump on the other hand, was the third most favorable, receiving a 38 percent rating under Marco Rubio's 41 percent. Bush and Cruz tagged along at a 36 and 34 percent favorable rating respectively. Trump dominated the most unfavorable rank among all Americans with a 59 percent lead, followed by Jeb Bush at 55 percent, Cruz at 44 percent and Rubio at 37 percent.

The study conducted by Langer Research Associates makes note that a sizable number of American have not formed an opinion about Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and even Carson. These GOP candidates received a 22, 23, and 18 percent "no opinion" vote among all Americans. Nine percent are undecided on their liking of Bush and a mere three percent are unsure about where they stand regarding the controversial businessman-turned-politician.

As Langer Research Associates detail, "Carson's the sole GOP candidate in this poll who's significantly above water among independents" with a 47-35 percent favorable-unfavorable. rubio splits faily evenly, while Cruz, Bush, and Trump are all on the negative side of the ledger.
