Bethesda has a reminder for Xbox One gamers who pre-loaded their "Fallout 4" game before October 27, 2015.

In an announcement in the "Fallout 4" Community forum, Bethesda told that those who "digitally pre-ordered" the game on or before October 27 with their Xbox One "not using Instant On power mode" must delete the file and re-install the title.

According to the Bethesda, gamers who did so might only have a "stub file" or just a mere placeholder file which is not the whole version of the game.

Bethesda mentioned that once the update became available, players can download the update and play "Fallout 4."

As reported by Game Rant, players can check if they have the full version of the game by looking at the file size of the "Fallout 4" they downloaded. The game file is 28.12 GB. Hence, if the file is lower than the mentioned size, chances are that it is not the full version of the game.

However, Bethesda is not the only one who issued a warning about re-downloading a game which was acquired too early. Just last November 5, 2015, Activision sent out a warning to those who pre-loaded the "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" before October 7 will also have to re-download it as what the players have downloaded is merely a "stub file," just like "Fallout 4's" case.

Game Rant also mentioned that Bethesda's warning of re-downloading the game is no longer new in the Xbox One Console. It pointed that there have already been issues since Microsoft has allowed players to download games too early.

It cited that many gamers who downloaded "Halo 5: Guardians" early was not able to play the game when it was released, forcing them to re-download it.

The gaming news outlet highlighted that this problem could be annoying for fans given that games of such large sizes take time to download. Not to mention that internet connections have a data cap which could slow the download process.

Bethesda has provided instructions on their announcement on how players can re-install the game. For more information and instruction, gamers can also visit the Xbox support page.

"Fallout 4" is an action role-playing video game set on the Boston wasteland. In the game, players will take the role of the lone survivor of Vault 111. The game promises more than 400 hours of game play along with extensive weapon customization, settlement building and improved VATS system.

The game is scheduled to be release on November 10, 2015.
