The date for the release of 343's follow up to "Halo 4," "Halo 5: Guardians", is coming up real soon.

With the release date so near, more and more information has started to become available to the gaming public. According to Gamespot, a lot  of system-required downloads will be needed during the first play of the game.

One of the biggest downloads for "Halo 5: Guardians" will be a 9 GB download to help with the game's multiplayer mode. The executive producer at 343 Industries has stated that this is not uncommon as 343 would like to have the gamers play the most recent and less bugged copies of the game starting on day one.

As it stands now, gamers who pre-purchased the game online via the Xbox Store will no longer need to download the update as long as they use the Xbox One's Instant On Mode. Those who purchased the disk will still have to download the download file, however.

Early reports have the digital version file being up to 60 GB in size by the time the initial downloads are complete. However, reports are saying that the online multiplayer update is worth the download. The story has been updated as well.

The online multiplayer game will now involve a clan system, similar to that of a guild in other Online Games. In this clan system, players will begin to earn points towards rewards and different armors or titles the more they play with other players. The clan system will also reward those clans with the highest points at the end of a certain amount of time, usually called a season.

"Halo 5" will initially carry over 20 maps and will reportedly have another 15 maps available for a free DLC before June 2016, reports Techtimes.

However, a good bulk of players will be focused first on the story of "Halo 5", which has seen the main character Master Chief go AWOL. Players will initially not be playing as the veteran warrior, but instead will be playing the part of Spartan Locke, who is the leader of the UNSC's elite manhunter group. Players have the option to find Master Chief in solo missions or up to four players can choose to go on this adventure together.

Currently, "Halo 5: Guardians" is set for release on Oct. 27, 2015, and has been developed by 343 Industries who took over after the original developers. Bungie no longer wished to continue the franchise.
